SPECIAL COMMUNITY EVENTS:

 

Asian-American Resource Center in collaboration with API Coalition and the County of San Bernardino Department of Behavior Health host the 2nd Annual Asian-American Pacific Islander Family Wellness & Fun Night at the County of San Bernardino Health Services Auditorium in Rialto, California.

Asian-American Resource Center thanks the API Coalition and the DBH of their exceptional leadership, deciation and commitment to the divised communities and embracing all cultures to support the Asian-American Pacific Islander Family Wellness and Fun Night.

Hula Halau Ohina O'Mea Nani performs Pa'e Moku, an ancient Hula war dance.

 

Victoria performs a beautiful Tahitian routine to a song of Mati.

 

The Vietnamese Buddhist Association of San Bernardino performed the Vietnamese Lion Dance to bring good luck, prosperity, and good fortune.

 

Dr. Truong teased the lion with a traditional offering.

 

Annie displayed beautiful fans to symbolize butterflies, flowers and sea waves during her dance.

 

Khmer Buddhist Society of San Bernardino dances performed the traditional Cambodian Coconut Dance.

 

Taiko Mix performed a high energy Japanese drum performance.

 

Indonesian Dancers performed a traditional Indonesian dance called Tor-Tor to describe their daily life, happiness, reflection, prayer and expectations.

 

The Filipino dancers imitated movements of tickling birds as they walk between grass stems or dodge bamboo traps set by rice farmers.

 

Asian-American Resource Center's Vovinam Martial Arts group demonstrated forms and techniques of the traditional Vietnamese Martial Arts.

Cinco De Mayo Celebration was held on Friday May 4th, 2012 at the Asian-American Resource Center
